About Cal

Cal is a multi-international award winning underwater photographer. Cal formally trained as a marine biologist (BSc Hons) during which time; he began taking underwater photographs to showcase the marine diversity found in the cold waters of Victoria’s southern coastline. Cal is the recipient of the coveted David Doubilet Award for Excellence in Underwater Photographyand was awarded a simultaneous 1st place for Young Underwater Photographer 2009 and Underwater Art Photographer 2009. Cal is also the recipient of a prestigious Eureka Prize for Scientific Photography from the Australian Museum and New Scientist Magazine. Cal is also a PADI certified Rescue Diver and Dive Master. When he’s not behind the camera, he’s out exploring the cold water reefs and kelp forests of Victoria’s coastline. Cal’s underwater images have appeared in numerous magazines including Royal Auto, TechMag, Asian Geographic, Scuba Diving Australiasia and DiveLog. Cal has had his photos included in exhibitions around the globe including Malaysia, California, New York, Indonesia and he is currently featured at the Australian Museum.

About Deb

Deb is an AIPP Master Photographer with a background in Technical and Scientific Illustration. Deb has a strong reputation for excellence in portraiture and wedding photographer and has over 20 years of photographic experience to draw upon. Deb has been nationally recognized with over 100 Photographic Awards from Australia’s peak photographic bodies. Deb’s pool of awards includes numerous ‘Gold with Distinction’ from the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP). However, Deb still maintains that her biggest achievement is being the proud mother of two! When Deb’s not behind the camera, she’s a passionate underwater wreck diver and has logged over 50 dives on the infamous Yongala shipwreck of Northern Queensland.
